Fiona was a fabulous host. I booked at the last minute and arrived very late on a miserable February night, and the welcome gave me real respite when I needed it. This is hospitality at its best. I'd give it ten stars if I could.

It's just a five-minute walk from the station and a few minutes farther to the town centre, which was very convenient. I only stayed one night, but the hosts were warm and delightful. My spotless room had everything I needed, a super-comfortable bed, and a view of the castle. Breakfast was lovely too. I'd absolutely stay again.

We used the guest house for a few nights and can't wait to come back. The hosts were friendly, welcoming and so informative when they greeted us; nothing was too much trouble. Our room was lovely, with a bathroom and a tea tray that was kept topped up with biscuits and proper fresh milk. Breakfast had a wonderful selection, and the cooked food was made with lovely produce and done beautifully.

Fiona's place is easy to recommend. The welcome was warm, the bed was comfy, and breakfast was lovely with vegetarian options. Stay here and take a day to explore Appleby.

The hosts, Fiona and Martin, were very friendly and went out of their way to help. We enjoyed the very good breakfast, and there were homemade treats on offer too. Our spacious room in this period property was clean and well appointed, with a large shower. The town centre was within walking distance, which suited us perfectly. We can thoroughly recommend this bed and breakfast.
