Ellie made our bottomless brunch and birthday celebration such a treat. She was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble, and the food was lovely. The birthday pudding with a message was a great extra touch. I’ve been coming since the Foresters and Acorn opened, and she’s the most attentive server we’ve had. Great service really makes a difference.

The rooms are lovely for a couple’s getaway, and the other amenities are only 5-10 minutes away. We stay for business, but never know in advance how long we’ll need, and the staff make adding extra nights easy. The front of house team will go out of their way to help. Tracy, the manager, was so friendly and sorted our requests. Ellie in the restaurant also deserves a mention for making breakfast such a great start to our mornings. I wish I knew everyone else’s names too. Thank you all.

We keep coming back when we visit family. It’s a small, friendly hotel and pub with a welcoming atmosphere, clean, well-equipped rooms, thoughtful touches, and excellent food, especially breakfast. Every member of staff has been warm and helpful. Ellie is always so cheerful and attentive when serving us in the morning. Thanks as ever, and we’re looking forward to our next stay.
