The crumble pudding deserves a wow, and the treacle and Guinness bread before our starters was wonderful too. Dinner at The Kings Head was the best meal I’ve had out in years, with great food, good value and kind attention from Patrick. The hake and mussels were cooked just right, with lovely flavour and texture. I started with tofu, and my wife really enjoyed her meal as well. The service and setting were great too. I don’t often get this excited about dinner!

Our host Andrea knew her wines well and gave us recommendations that really brought both meals together. Service was attentive and top notch. We had the Korean chicken and the burger for lunch, and both were amazing, beautifully presented and full of flavour. We’ll be back and would definitely recommend it. A+ to everyone!

The chicken and bacon sandwich was a lot better than I expected, really, really good, with a lovely side salad and chips. We went on a quiet Tuesday, and the airy bar had a good selection of beers. Staff were friendly and attentive without hovering. We’ll be back when we’re in the area, or when I fancy another sandwich.

Breakfast was the best I’ve had in a long while. It was a full English, not huge, but I couldn’t finish it, and every bit was full of flavour. We also had a lovely two-night stay at the King's Head Wye. Our room was clean, tidy and well equipped, with both a bath and shower. The staff were friendly, polite, and happy to help. The second-floor stairs were fairly steep, and I felt sorry for the elderly couple staying up there. The wooden window frames were starting to peel, though I only noticed after spending ages looking out at the view of Wye crown. The room was more than adequate, and we slept well on the memory foam mattress. The restaurant has changed considerably since I proposed to my now-wife there 32 years ago. The food was great, though £28 for a bottle of Merlot felt steep. We walked to the "Crown" and back, about 5 miles, then had a drink in a pub by the river. It was a lovely weekend in an amazing location, and I thoroughly recommend a visit.

The room was clean and well equipped, and the bathroom, especially the shower, was great. We slept comfortably and really enjoyed the food and drink. Dinner and breakfast were memorable, with huge compliments to the kitchen team. Every staff member we met was friendly, helpful and chatty. The restaurant and bar have comfy seating, proper restaurant tables and some outdoor space. King's Head made for a lovely stay, and I’d recommend a visit if you’re in or near the area.
