We booked through Pine Bank Chalets because their cabins have log burners, and the one in the Einich superior cabin was easy to use and made the place really cosy. The cabin was warm, spotless and well equipped. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend booking a cabin. We hope to come back next year.

We’ve just got home after four nights in Bynack, and this was our third visit. It’s less than a ten-minute walk into Aviemore, with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants, and The old bridge inn is only two minutes away. It has a great bar and lovely dining area, and the food is great. The cabin sleeps four in a double room and a twin room. The kitchen was perfect, with a good-sized table, and there was a comfy sofa and log burner. It was quite cold during our stay, but since it wasn’t October yet, there were no logs or coal. A fire would have been welcome one evening. The place could do with an update, but it’s clean and functional. The location is perfect, and we love it here 😃

Spey lodge was stunning, so cosy and clean, with lovely modern decor. We loved it and would definitely recommend it.

The sauna was a lovely bonus on cold days, and my dog clearly enjoyed the cosy sheepskin rugs too. We stayed in Osprey lodge, which was stunning and fitted out with quality furnishings and fittings. It was warm in September, and the heating worked so well we turned it down and didn’t need the log burner. The insulation is excellent. The lodge is close to shops and restaurants, and well placed for exploring further afield. One small suggestion: some cards or board games would be nice. The online photos showed Jenga, but we couldn’t find any games in the lodge.

We hiked in several directions straight from Cairngorm Lodge: along the river, towards the next loch through rochiemurchus estate, and up Càrn Dearg Mòr. They’re all quite close. After a rainy day, the sauna was especially welcome for warming up. The lodge itself is luxurious, with room for five, and was set up for us on arrival. It was probably the cleanest accommodation of our UK trip. The whole place was stunning. In the evenings, we could barbecue on the porch or head next door to Old Bridge Inn for a cool beer and great food. We really enjoyed our stay and are sure we’ll come back. Thanks to Simon, Tanja and the team!
