Scott and the whole team were friendly, helpful and faultless. My room was spacious and clean, and breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. They also let me come down earlier than the usual breakfast time each day, which meant I could get to my course on time. The drying room was very useful for my climbing and mountaineering kit, and free parking outside the Guest House was convenient. It’s peaceful and only a couple of minutes’ walk from Aviemore town centre, so the location worked really well. I’d highly recommend it and would stay again.

For a winter climbing trip, this place was ideal for outdoor people. My kit dried quickly in the excellent drying room, which has proper boot heaters, and there were lovely hot showers, big comfy beds and generous breakfasts to set me up for the day. The owners were super friendly. It wasn’t too busy when I stayed in December 2025, so the owner kindly let my guide join me for breakfast and plan the day in the lovely breakfast room with its log burner. I’ll definitely be back!

Scott is a really pleasant person and helped make our stay better, as did his lovely team. We spent six nights in Aviemore, and this was the best part of the trip. Breakfast was excellent, with several choices and a main dish cooked fresh to order. The place is in a peaceful area, just a few minutes from the town centre. I’d definitely stay here again.

I booked at the last minute and really appreciated the quick reply and warm welcome. The owner was incredibly friendly. The single room was ideal, with crisp white sheets, lovely decor, and everything very clean and warm. The bathroom was great and the shower wonderful. I had an early start, so couldn’t try breakfast this time. Looking forward to coming back for it. Perfect location for my one-night stay, and I can’t recommend it enough.

Coming back soaked from the mountains every afternoon in February, we were so glad to have the drying room. We had a great stay at Ravenscraig Guest House. The place and our room were very cosy, and breakfast was excellent. Everyone was lovely, and Scott gave us some great dinner suggestions. We highly recommend staying at Ravenscraig Guest House when you’re in Aviemore.
