The Green Lodge Aviemore

Helen, the owner, clearly cares a lot and puts real effort into making guests’ stays wonderful. The comfort and cleanliness were exceptionally high, both very important to us. We’ve rented many places as a family over the years, and The Green Lodge met and exceeded all our expectations. The lodge and its setting are beautiful, and we loved it enough to book another visit in June. We highly recommend it for a short break or holiday.

We spent a few days here in June and couldn’t fault the place. The lodge has everything you could need for an active holiday or a cosy winter break. The kitchen is state of the art with all the latest gadgets, and the bedrooms feel luxurious. The location feels secluded while Aviemore’s amenities are still easy to reach.

Having coffee outside in the morning with red squirrels just a few metres away was a highlight. The Green Lodge sits in a beautiful woodland setting, quiet and peaceful despite being close enough to walk to Aviemore’s main street. There are plenty of good places to visit nearby, and on a sunny day the beach at Loch Morlich is a lovely choice. It’s also a luxurious, very well equipped lodge.

We had a fabulous week at the Greenlodge over Easter. The house is thoughtfully put together and very well equipped for a family that loves cooking. Sharp knives are rare in self-catering places, so those, the coffee machine and pizza oven were a real treat. My nephew was sorry to leave the toys behind! The beds and bedding were wonderfully comfortable. The many bird feeders brought plenty of visitors, including lots of red squirrels, and gave us something to talk about. There are so many trails accessible right from the front door. Helen, the owner, was a joy to deal with: she replied quickly to any questions or problems and was there to help whenever needed. Greenlodge makes a fantastic base for a holiday.
