The rolling hill views from Watchcombe house are excellent, and the location is beautiful. Our hosts were helpful and friendly, and the room and breakfast both felt five-star. They use local produce for breakfast. The garden swimming pool was a lovely bonus. We’ll definitely return.

The hosts are lovely, and the room is comfortable with generous amenities. The views from every window are gorgeous. Breakfast is big enough to keep you going all day. They even provide a complimentary tray of hot drinks and biscuits that beats some cafes. And how many places come with a puppy, a pool and a hot tub?

The accommodation was very clean, nicely laid out to make the most of the views, and quiet and relaxing, with private access. It’s a fabulous location a couple of miles outside Colyford/Colyton villages, within a 30-minute drive of Seaton, Beer and lyme Regis. From the house, there are lovely views towards Seaton, with Watchcombe Moor behind it. Breakfast was excellent, freshly made to order using local produce, and just right to get the day started. We’d love to fit in another stay very soon.

The room was stylish and comfortable, and we really enjoyed the delicious breakfast. Melanie was a welcoming host. We had a wonderful stay at Watchcombe House and hope to return one day. The views across the Devonshire countryside are amazing and make you feel like you’ve got away from it all. We’d highly recommend it!

The views over Colyton are terrific, and there are wonderful walks around the area. The hosts were friendly and the room very comfortable. It’s well off the beaten track, reached along miles of narrow lanes with high banks.
