Long Crendon Manor felt like being welcomed into a beautiful piece of history. Tim & Sue looked after us wonderfully from arrival onwards, making sure we were comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, and the whole stay went beyond what we expected. We were so happy with it and are already looking forward to coming back.

The hosts, Tim and Sue, are delightful, and the "Exceptional Breakfast" really earns its name. Long Crendon Manor is a 12th/14th Century manor and feels like staying in a living museum. The photos don't do it justice. Some things are basic, with a bath but no shower and no bar, but that's a small trade-off for a chance to stay in a piece of England's history. After a long walk in Oxfordshire, you could have a pint at the nearby Churchill Arms, enjoy an excellent modern British meal at the Angel about 500m down the road, then return, open your own bottle of Scotch and take it all in. Imagine Shakespeare had a mansion just outside Thame and you could stay there. With so many hotels feeling alike, this B&B is a real one-off.

We had a lovely weekend here. It's a special place, and the hosts made it even better. The breakfast was the best I've had in a very long time. Very highly rated.

Breakfast was a real treat, with excellent food, plenty of delicious choices, and a hearty, lovely presentation. Our room was comfortable and tastefully decorated, with plush bedding and period details that gave it an understated sense of luxury. The manor's history and timeless charm were clear everywhere, almost as if we were walking through a living museum. Long Crendon Manor is an experience as well as a place to stay. Whether you're into history or simply want a unique, luxurious escape, it won't disappoint. We can't wait to return.

A wonderfully relaxing weekend in an amazing place. We had a spacious Yellow Room with a lounge area, comfortable beds, and a delicious breakfast. The hosts were welcoming, and staying here gave us a chance to experience a bit of history.
