Premier Inn Norwich East - Broadlands/A47

The room was warm and the bed was comfortable, though there was a musty smell when we arrived. Our ground-floor room, especially the bathroom, looked a bit tired beside the room our friends had upstairs. Still, it was good value. Breakfast was free and plentiful, parking was free, and check-in and checkout were easy. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we’d use the hotel again when meeting friends.

The whole site is wheelchair accessible, and there’s a restaurant and bar here, plus another restaurant across the road. This was our first time at this particular Premier Inn, and it was another great stay. We tried self check-in for the first time and found it quick and easy. We didn’t talk much with the staff, but they seemed polite and very professional.

The restaurant was busy and badly behind with food. We waited almost an hour after ordering and eventually had to ask, though we were able to relax with a drink while we waited. Aside from that, everything went well. Breakfast was the usual, and we slept well before heading home from Norfolk. Our room was clean and tidy, in the usual Premier Inn style, though there were signs of heavy use and both coat hooks by the door were broken. We arrived to find reception unattended, so used the machines to check in and activate our key. A member of staff was there when we returned to unload the car, and we checked meal times then. You need to speak to someone to book a restaurant time slot, as the machines don’t offer that yet. There’s plenty of parking, but you have to register your vehicle at the machine in reception. This is a large Premier Inn on Norwich’s eastern side, convenient and easy to find with GPS in an area we didn’t know. We’d stay here again.

Jake in the kitchen took such care with our dinner and breakfast, especially the food for our son, who has coeliac disease. Everyone was kind, understanding, and sensitive to his needs, and we’re very grateful for the extra care Jake put into preparing his meals. The room was also really comfortable and spacious, but the staff are what made the place for us.
