The hotel has its own welcoming feel. Dogs, kids, people dressed up or in walking clothes, everyone seemed welcome. We arrived yesterday and everything about the experience has been perfect. We stayed in the Bridge Suite, which was spotless and looked out over the river, with a balcony. The bed was huge, with crisp, ironed white linen. The little touches were lovely too: plumped pillows, cushions, slippers, very soft towels and Elemis toiletries. We ate at the restaurant, where both the food and service were amazing. Book afternoon tea if you stay, it's on another level. I'm a seasoned afternoon tea fan and this one has an amazing twist. Have a look at the crockery too, from a Dutch company and charming. We had three starters because none of the mains appealed, and they were wow. I think the food deserves the fine dining label, with all kudos to the chef. For once, there's absolutely nothing I can criticize.

This was my third visit in a short time, and the third time has been perfect. I haven't stayed overnight, just eaten there, but the food keeps being wonderful and the staff are just as good. The dining room is gorgeous, spacious and beautifully decorated, and each time we've been lucky enough to get a table overlooking the water. The team are helpful, friendly and efficient, with a nice sense of humour. My friends say the burger is the best they've had, and they're experts. I had the Norfolk fondue and scallops, both faultless. On an earlier visit with different friends, we had arancini, halloumi, whitebait and seafood pasta, all exemplary. One small thing: the wine list could offer more by the glass. There was only one European white, and I don't like New World wines, environmentally or drinkily, if that's even a word. A minor gripe against a tsunami of excellence. See you soon.

The food was great when we walked in today, and the staff and location were lovely too. The children's menu was great, and the colouring competition with a lollypop was a wonderful touch. A couple of suggestions: fewer cushions, we were drowning in them, and children's cutlery if possible. Otherwise, great stuff!

The restaurant was clean and nicely presented, and the food was tasty. The location was nice too. The car park is small, though, and the food and drinks are too expensive. Also, a customer's dog was allowed to wander around the dining area.

We got a bargain for the night and slept well, despite the small bed. The room itself was small but lovely and well equipped, with plenty of tea and coffee and Elemis toiletries. Ours faced the car park, but that wasn't a problem. The river facing rooms are probably in demand and cost more. Breakfast had lots of choice and was nice, though the sauteed potatoes were really boiled potatoes with onion and didn't add anything. Watching the activity on the river was entertaining, and the friendly herons were great. We’ll return to Hotel Wroxham.
