We felt so welcome, even some lovely regulars offered to help us decorate. I celebrated my 30th birthday in the function room and couldn’t have asked for better. The team were friendly and attentive, and when our DJ had to cancel for a reason nobody could prevent, they found a brilliant replacement within two hours. The room was a great size, drinks were reasonably priced, and you can bring your own food and arrange the space however you like. I’d recommend this place to anyone booking an event. Thank you to the whole team!

Getting up the hillside in Norwich with luggage was a bit of a struggle, but the room was warm and spacious. Breakfast was generous and freshly made, and the juice tasted extremely fresh. The staff were warm and friendly too.

The pub may look a bit tired from the outside, but the bedroom was one of the best equipped I’ve stayed in. There was hot chocolate, a coffee machine, kettle, biscuits, bottled water, tissues, an iron and board, a safe, books, grab handles, shower mats, a dining table and a fridge. The walk-in shower was the biggest and hottest, the breakfast was the tastiest, and the pub had the friendliest feel.

I stayed here for three weeks for a work event, and the staff were friendly and accommodating the whole time. The rooms were spacious and tidy, and breakfast was really tasty. I’d highly recommend staying here.

Nice rooms, though the beds were too hard. Breakfast was excellent.
