The window wouldn't shut, so the room was cold, and the room itself was very standard. I wouldn't stay again. Room service was okay, though the cheese and tomato sandwich turned out to have tomato chutney instead, which I didn't enjoy. The apple and caramel crumble was ordinary, but the pulled pork nachos were really good.

We’ve been to the Retro New Year's Eve party three years running, and the event itself was fantastic again. The bar spoiled it this time. There were only three beers on tap and they were all flat and tasteless. The soft drinks had no fizz and tasted odd too. When we mentioned it, the bar staff agreed but carried on regardless. With drinks at premium prices, they should do better. If the party is on next year, we won't be back because of the poor bar choices. A real shame, as the event has always been good.

We were in Norwich after our father passed away, and the staff were incredibly considerate of our family and did what they could to accommodate us. The pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi are well worth using, and the staff there were fantastic too. The hotel is in very presentable condition, with clear signs that a lot of work has been done recently. The rooms could use updating. There was a two year makeover plan displayed at reception, but we arrived a couple of months before the room renovations. We’d happily come back once they’re finished.

The atmosphere was nice at our Christmas party, and the food was reasonable given how many people they had to serve that night. Drinks cost a little more, though I understand they need to make money. One thing to remember: enter your car registration at reception. It's a private car park, and otherwise you may get a third party fine, which is a bit naff.
