Marsham Arms Coaching Inn

The atmosphere was lovely, and everyone was friendly and very helpful. We had a really enjoyable weekend, with tasty meals including pork belly, beef lasagne, a chicken burger and steak. Five stars from us.

Room 3 was fantastic, and both dinner and breakfast were absolutely stunning. The service was amazing, and the location works well for Norwich and North Norfolk. We’ll definitely stay again.

The location is handy for Norwich and the North Norfolk coast, and the staff gave great service. We had delicious meals in the restaurant, including breakfast. Our room was comfortable, though the furniture looked a little dated and it was quite dark with limited natural light. The huge bathroom was modern, and the room’s dimness didn’t spoil our stay.

The food was gorgeous, both at breakfast and in the evening, and the staff were really nice. That made the stay a shame, because I couldn’t get a decent night’s sleep. I was in room 7 for two nights, part of a planned four-night stay, but I’m going to cut it short and stay just one more night. If I weren’t here with a team of three, I wouldn’t have stayed another night at all. The place is in the middle of nowhere. The walls are paper thin. On the first night I could hear the little fridge in the wardrobe before bed. I didn’t realise what it was until the next day, but had to switch it off. Someone in the next room had their TV on all night. Both mornings I woke to my neighbour’s alarm, then could hear them showering, turning on the kettle, shaving and stirring their drink. I’ll try earplugs tonight to see if that helps. The beds are nice and the rooms aren’t bad, just dated. I don’t mind dated rooms if I can sleep well, but I can’t here, and that’s why I couldn’t stay again.
