The Warren

No3 The Warren was where we spent a fantastic week. It’s a quaint two-bedroom terraced cottage, just a few metres from the beach, and part of The Warren, a row of four cottages. On arrival, the owner left fresh-baked bread, butter and eggs, a really lovely welcome. The place is well stocked with bedding, towels (though not beach towels), tea towels, cleaning products, a washing machine, a dishwasher and tablets, and even a windbreak. Dogs are welcome at the cottage, and the beach allows them a little further along from the property. Many local pubs and restaurants are dog friendly too. There is a faint dog smell downstairs, so it may not suit you if you don’t like dogs. A few things to bear in mind: some doorways are low, so watch your head, and the stairs are steep. There are also steps down to the cottage and beach, which could make it unsuitable for people with mobility problems. Coastal erosion has meant a concrete wall was built for protection. The downside is a steep set of steps to the beach, and at high tide there’s no beach.
