The small lake made for nice dog walks, and the view from our lodge was a bonus. The motorway is close, so you can hear it when outside, but it didn't affect our stay. Inside, the accommodation had a lovely home-away-from-home feel. The manager texted when we arrived to check everything was okay, a nice touch. Self check-in was easy, with all the site access information sent a couple of days beforehand. We had an amazing stay at Rookery manor Lodges and will definitely look at coming back.

Karen was helpful when we arrived and checked in by text afterward. The hot tub was already warm, and the place itself was spacious and very clean. We were within 30-45 minutes of the activities we wanted to do, which worked perfectly for us. I only wish the cafe and bar were open more often. I also emailed about a week before our stay to ask if anything could be arranged for my partner's 30th, like decorations, but never got a reply. Still, we had a lovely stay and I'd recommend Ash Lodge.

The views are lovely, and it’s a peaceful spot if you want a break from everyday life. We brought our dog and found plenty of walks. There’s also a farm cafe about an 11-minute walk down the road, with good food like burgers, pasties and cakes. We’ve stayed at Rookery Manor Lodges & three times now, and the lodge has always felt comfortable, well equipped and like home. We visited in cold, wet November weather and it was still cosy. It’s handy for seaside towns including Weston Super Mare & Burnham on Sea. The on-site coffee shop and bar have limited hours because attendance and support are poor. An arrival time earlier than 4pm would be nice, though I understand the cleaners need time.

The cottage was a great base, about a 20-minute drive from Wookey Hole, Cheddar Gorge and Bristol Airport. We had the three-bedroom place, which was roomy, spotless and well equipped, and the hot tub was especially welcome after a day out. We had a fantastic stay at Rookery Manor Resort and would happily return. At -2 outside, we made the most of the hot tub and spent as much time in it as we could. The little self-contained unit was gorgeous, clean and tidy, with everything we needed for our stay.
