Donna and Steve have made The Bull’s Head feel warm, friendly, and genuinely local. They're fantastic hosts who go out of their way to make you welcome. We also loved meeting their dogs, Teddy, Dexter, and Rosie, who is soon to be a mum. They really add to the homely feel. Our group, Noah, Ashlee, and Tom, spent two days here. The rooms were warm and comfortable after exploring, and the pub itself is full of character in its 17th-century stone building. The food was another highlight. The Rack of Lamb was succulent and expertly cooked, and the Sausage and Mash was a delicious, hearty classic. The quality was top notch and the value was unbeatable. A real gem in the heart of Youlgreave, and we'll definitely return.

Our first holiday with our newborn son and dog was pretty chaotic, but Donna and her team made us feel so welcome for a Sunday evening meal. The bread and butter pudding was my highlight. The pub is a beautiful spot in the heart of the village. A big thank you to everyone in the bar and restaurant.

After a long walk, we had a hearty lunch and left full and happy. The food was lovely and plentiful, and the lady serving us was so welcoming and happy to help with everything. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Please make sure the staff understand that vegan means no animal products. Offering someone halloumi or fish and saying other vegans are fine with it is offensive. Fish isn't even vegetarian, let alone vegan. I don't know why anyone would think it was. There's a token risotto marked vg on the menu, but when we visited they didn't have oat milk, although we were told they normally do. The staff are very friendly and the venue is nice. The coffee was OK, though I wasn't sure if it was filter or possibly instant. The chips are cooked separately. The service saved us a lot of money, since that's all we ended up having.

The new owners have amazing homemade food, and the service was fantastic and friendly. It's VERY dog friendly too. We came for my birthday meal and had a lovely time. Thank you, we'll be back!
