Ken and Carol made us feel at home, and we had a lot of fun chatting with them. The Old Bakery is full of character, with clean, cozy rooms. We were four people, including two vegans, and they managed to make us a hearty breakfast. They also suggested some great walking trails, all within a 20-30 minute drive from the Bakery. We’d especially recommend Thor’s cave, 3 Shires Head and Mam Tor. We’re definitely planning to visit again!

Ken and Carol were wonderful hosts, with hospitality second to none. We stayed for two nights and had a tremendous time. It was clean and extremely comfortable, and the breakfast was superb. Hopefully we’ll be back soon.

The one thing keeping this from a full five stars is the parking. It can be a bit of a nightmare, though more often than not we managed alright. The owners are very friendly and make you feel welcome, with suggestions for walks, days out, pubs and restaurants. There was plenty of local guide material to read, all the kitchen equipment we needed, and a bottle of wine with a personal note waiting when we arrived. The place was clean, exceptionally so once we learned the previous guests had only left that morning.

We had the place to ourselves and it felt like a real home from home. Ken and Carol were friendly, welcoming hosts, and the village centre location couldn’t be better. We stayed two nights for Kleznorth in Youlgreave and could easily have stayed much longer.

Just what we needed after a cold, wet weekend outdoors. The beds were comfortable, the duvets warm, and everything was clean and cozy. There was a TV and wash basin in the room, plus tea and coffee facilities. The accommodation was lovely, and Ken and Carol were warm, friendly hosts. Breakfast was fantastic, locally sourced, and served in the wonderful setting of the old shop. Loved it.
