The countryside around Bala is lovely, with walks, outdoor activities and things to see for all ages. Bala Holiday Suites makes a comfortable base for enjoying it, and I know that from both sides: I first visited while doing renovation work, then came back later in my own time. While working there, I took on decorating, bespoke rustic furniture, a pergola, traditional-style gates, bathroom upgrades and other improvements. Seeing the place up close, I could tell how much care the owners put into making the suites welcoming and full of character. They’re clean, well maintained and cosy, with plenty of thoughtful detail. The owners are lovely people who take real pride in what they do. I’d happily recommend Bala Holiday Suites to couples, families or anyone after a relaxing break in North Wales.

We got in very late, but the host made access straightforward and was really helpful. The apartment was spotless, well equipped and felt like home. After a tiring Three Peaks challenge, it was just the place to rest and recover. Shops and cafes are close by too.

I couldn’t find the place, so I never even checked in, but they still took £100 from me despite the booking being for free cancellation. When I called the number, the woman was very rude and didn’t make me feel welcome at all. Really bad experience. I’d tell people not to go there. It feels fake.

After finishing the national Three Peaks at Snowdon, this was a lovely, cosy flat to come back to. It’s right by the town shops, which made getting supplies easy. Thanks for being so welcoming. I’d recommend it as a stop before or after the challenge, or just for a pleasant stay in Welsh Wales.

We arrived late after the National 3 Peaks, but finding the apartments and getting inside was easy. They were really nice, with good kitchens and bathrooms, so we could all take a breather and relax. I’d definitely stay here again.
