The owners were incredibly accommodating and helpful with every extra request, way beyond what I expected. It was a great experience in a lovely location, and good value for money too. I wish I could give them six stars. Hope to come back soon.

Adam and Anna are delightful owners, and the breakfast was delicious. The room was very clean and well appointed. Highly recommend this lovely place to stay.

Alison and Les were such friendly, helpful hosts, and we’ll definitely be back. This was the best B&B we stayed at in the UK. The room was clean, spacious, well maintained, heated well, and had all the amenities. The common area was beautifully decorated, with a wonderful collection of books. Breakfasts were delicious, made with quality local ingredients, and much better than those at so-called five-star hotels. There was plenty of parking, and the bus stop right outside made it easy to get around, less than 12 minutes to Balmoral Castle and 30 minutes to Braemar. The neighbourhood was quiet and beautiful, but the town was only a few minutes' walk away. Thank you very much!

The breakfasts were a real treat, served in a beautiful glass conservatory looking out over the gorgeous garden. There was a generous spread of baked goods, Alison's incredible homemade granola, which you shouldn’t miss, and fresh hot breakfasts cooked to order. The pancakes were the best ever, and it was the best coffee I had on my whole trip. Les and Alison were warm and friendly, and gave us great tips for nearby hikes. Their dog Teddy is absolutely adorable. We loved staying at No. 45 Ballater, one of the best B&B experiences of our trip to Scotland. We had the superior garden room, the most spacious room we stayed in on our travels, beautifully decorated and with the most comfortable bed. Its own private entrance was a nice bonus. The bathroom was huge and felt luxurious, with a beautiful tub and rain shower. We can’t wait to come back!

The breakfast was easily the best we had during our two-week trip to Scotland, and the room was wonderful, big, with a really comfortable bed and a quiet, luxurious bathroom. We stopped in spontaneously after a problem with our planned stay in Ballater. The owners welcomed us warmly, along with their dog Teddy, who was the secret host. Even as a last-minute stay, the price felt just right. We’ll definitely come back when we’re in Scotland again!
