Breakfast in the charming solarium was a lovely start to the day. The B&B felt quiet and tucked away, though hiking trails were about a 10-minute drive and town was around 20 minutes away. Our room had plenty of room for our family of four, with twin beds for the kids and space to unwind. The host was so friendly and made us feel at home. A lovely countryside base for exploring nearby towns.

Bertie even surprised us with a fireworks display one evening, which made the stay memorable. We also enjoyed meeting Maisie, his gorgeous German Shepherd. Bertie and Cheryl were warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived, and it really felt like visiting friends. Breakfast each morning, especially the Irish fry, was delicious. The rooms were clean, cozy, comfortable, and thoughtfully decorated, and there was ample free parking. The views were peaceful despite the nearby busy road, and we hardly noticed the noise. I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable stay with plenty of personality and hospitality.

Bertie looked after both our family and two other families with young children so well. He made everything feel comfortable and welcoming. Our room was spacious, very clean, and thoughtfully equipped with what we needed. It was a lovely, homely place to stop while travelling up to Belfast. We’ll definitely recommend it to others, and you won’t be disappointed staying here.

Bertie was very kind during our one-night stay, even making a dinner reservation for us at a local restaurant. He brought us breakfast and coffee in the morning. The rooms were clean and cozy, and the place was surprisingly nice for such an affordable stay. I never got to say hi to his German Shepard, but I’d definitely stay again.

Lisnagalt Lodge is an easy short drive from Portrush and Bushmill, and it’s the spot if you’re after a down-to-earth host. The room and bathrooms were clean, with everything you’d want in a lodge and a bit more.
