Tavnaghoney Cottages

Caroline was a fantastic host and took such good care of us. The accommodation was superb, high quality and comfortable, just a few minutes' drive from cushendall. It's a great base for touring the Antrim coast.

We booked all three cottages for my partner's birthday weekend with the whole family. The owners were lovely and supportive throughout, and when we decided on Saturday to add another night, they arranged one of the houses. That let us leave leisurely on Sunday after a hungover night, while my partner's parents could enjoy an extra quiet night. We used one cottage for cooking and hanging out, and put the kids to bed safely in another with a baby monitor so the adults could stay up. Each house is set up for little visitors, with garden toys, board games and colouring books. Cushendall is a short drive away for shops or a wee lunch, and there are takeaways too. We made a birthday feast after a day at Waterfoot beach, and the weather was amazing for it. A brilliant weekend.

The views were lovely, and the location made it easy to explore the North coast. Cushendall is only five minutes away, with Cushendun not much farther. We stayed in March 2024 and hired two cottages. They were cosy and very comfortable, with everything we needed, including good kitchen and dining facilities, a great shower and comfortable beds. The host was welcoming, attentive and helpful. We really enjoyed it and will definitely return.

A lovely, peaceful place if you're looking to get away from it all. The house and rooms are great, with all the amenities, but there was no internet. Mobile reception is very patchy in that location, so internet access would have been important.
