I stayed one night in room 6, in the annex about 100 metres from the pub, to break up a journey. Reception was friendly and helpful, and the room was spotless and comfortable. Good ale and wine, plus a great dinner and breakfast. The location is beautiful too.

Easy to get to, with parking and lovely staff. The evening meals, breakfast and pints were good quality, and the rooms were comfortable. Good value overall, and I’d stay again.

We were staying nearby and stopped in for dinner. We visit regularly when we’re in the area because it’s a lovely, friendly place with good traditional pub food at reasonable prices. The staff are always welcoming. It’s nice to pop in for a well-earned pint after a hike or stay for an evening. The pub and hotel are community owned, which is such a lovely thing. We’ll definitely be back.

We found this place at the last minute and were so pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious, the service fabulous, and the rooms clean and beautiful. Bampton is a quaint village with a little store and café that has everything you need. There are lots of walks nearby, and a lovely body of water just a short drive away. We’ll be back soon!

After a walk near the reservoir, we booked in for Sunday lunch. The asparagus and egg was delicious, and the roast beef dinner was cracking. We’re well fed and happy. It’s dog friendly, and the staff are lovely.
