Blackwell House

My clients were delighted with their stay and would happily return. I booked the whole House for some VIP clients, and from my first phone call with Alessio, everything was superb. Communication was excellent, and they went above and beyond to look after them. Edele prepared a special menu and even offered to close the restaurant, which wasn't needed but was a lovely thought. A true 5* experience, highly recommended.

The hosts made our little pre-wedding trip really special. They even set up the sauna for me with little sauna hats and fresh towels, which was lovely after the cold, rainy weather outside. Blackwell house was amazing. Our room was so sweet, and the location was quiet and out of the way. The food was AMAZING, especially the warm fresh bread. I felt guilty eating it because my sister, who was staying somewhere else, wouldn't get any.

We stayed in the Loft Suite, which was a highlight, with its own entrance, private jacuzzi, and balcony overlooking the countryside. Sitting in the jacuzzi under the stars after dinner, with everything so peaceful, was the perfect end to the day. Blackwell House is beautifully styled, luxurious yet welcoming, and finished with care down to the smallest details. We came to celebrate my partner’s birthday and our anniversary, and it couldn't have been more perfect. We've already decided to come back next year. From the moment we arrived, the relatively new owners, Edele and Alessio, made us feel genuinely welcome. They're a fantastic couple and wonderful hosts, combining Irish charm with Italian/Swiss standards and a real passion for looking after guests. Afternoon tea was fresh, beautifully presented, and a treat for the eyes and taste buds. Later, the five-course suprise evening menu was a real culinary journey, with every dish prepared to a very high standard and showing skill and creativity. Service was warm and professional, attentive, and timed just right. Our heartfelt thanks to Edele and Alessio for a memorable celebration. Their attention to detail and high standards make Blackwell House an absolute gem, and we felt truly valued throughout.

Edele and Alessio really go the extra mile to make you feel looked after and welcome. Blackwell House is a special place, with a cosy atmosphere, elegant decor, and gorgeous food. Highly recommended for a memorable stay in the beautiful Armagh countryside.
