Marlin Apartments Canary Wharf

The apartment was far bigger than I expected, with a separate bedroom and a balcony. I booked a few nights while doing a training course nearby, and from the start the stay met my expectations. The concierge team were really friendly and knew their stuff. It's a great spot, about a 10-15 minute walk into central Canary Wharf. There's a fire station and several residential areas nearby, plus building work a few doors down, but I honestly didn't hear any of it. Thanks!

We were put out on the street at around 3am with nowhere to go, and one person in our group had an asthma attack while we tried to find another place. The whole experience was upsetting and badly handled from beginning to end. We've formally asked for a full refund and our deposit back. I'd strongly urge people to avoid Marlin Apartments Canary Wharf. Our stay was 13-15 May 2026, and it was the worst accommodation experience any of us has had. Reception later told us no complaints had actually been made, and couldn't explain why six paying guests were being removed in the middle of the night. The first evening, a man in what looked like a “dog warden” style vest came into the apartment without warning at about 5pm, saying there had been noise complaints. It was early evening and we weren't doing anything unreasonable, so we went out to avoid trouble. When we came back, the apartment was freezing and the heating didn't work. On the following evening, after a day out in London, we were quietly talking, taking off make-up and deciding what food to order. There was no music, party or disturbance, but the same man came in again claiming there were noise complaints. At about 2:30am, we were told to leave immediately. The reasons kept changing: first “loud music,” which was false because no music was playing, then talking too loudly. We were also wrongly accused of having extra guests, but a room check disproved that. There'd already been no running water in the apartment for several hours when we arrived, so we couldn't use the toilet or shower or even wash our hands before our event that evening. That's completely unacceptable for paid accommodation.

For about the price of a hotel, you get much more room here, along with a full kitchen, washing machine and fast WiFi. The shower had good pressure and hot water, the bed was clean, and the windows opened for fresh air. Just be aware there isn't daily cleaning, air conditioning, disposable slippers, toiletries or facial tissues. A fan was provided. For some reason, the main door at Marlin CW had no extra security chain, although other Marlin apartments did.

The staff were kind and friendly, and they left tea, coffee and milk sachets, enough for six cups. We stayed one night with the family to see a show nearby and had a lovely time. Thank you.
