Parking right by the house was a real help, and we could walk into the town centre for dinner or drinks in about two minutes. Louise and Shaun were so friendly and knew the area well, with plenty of walking advice and help when we needed it. Our room was spotless and comfortable, and breakfast was cooked just right. Tess the dog was lovely too, very happy to have a bit of attention. We had a great weekend and hope to come back next year.

After a day climbing Helvellyn, it was such a relief to return to a warm, clean room and a cosy bed. Room Five was a great fit for our three-night stay in mid-October, and the shower had far better pressure than we expected. Sean showed us in when we arrived. Lacet House worked really well as a base for our hiking weekend in Ambleside, and we’re already looking forward to coming back.

We had a relaxing weekend at Lacet House while attending a wedding nearby, and we’ll certainly return. Louise and Shaun gave us such a warm welcome, and the room was beautifully furnished and inviting. Breakfast was tasty, with lovely options to start the day, and the hosts gave us useful advice about the area. There’s free parking at the back or on the street, and Ambleside town and Windermere Lake are only a short walk away.

The location and free parking were a welcome bonus during our two nights at Lacet House. Our hosts were warm and welcoming, the room was very comfortable, and we really enjoyed breakfast. We hope to visit again one day.

It’s right in the middle of town, so getting around was easy, and we’d happily stay here again. Louise and Sean were lovely hosts, friendly from the start, and Louise’s service was faultless. Our room was clean and lovely, with a comfy bed and a great shower. Breakfast was delicious too. Thanks to you both for having us, Sue and Rich x
