Premier Inn Banbury Town Centre - Castle Quay

There’s no parking on site, but Castle Quay Shopping Centre nearby is free overnight until 7am. If you leave after breakfast, it’s only around £2, and early risers can park for free. The hotel is right by the canal, with some really nice places to eat opposite. You can use the reasonably priced restaurant on site or cross the canal. Staff greet you warmly, the rooms are super clean, and breakfast is yummy. A very pleasant stay, and I’d highly recommend it.

A no frills place, but very clean, safe and comfortable. Service was friendly, breakfasts were delicious, the views were nice, and it’s close to everything. The beds were comfortable too. A few things were annoying: no washcloths, tiny, very thin toilet paper, pillows about 3 inches thick, and no phone in the room. The TV was hard to work out and the bathtub taps need instructions. Still, it was a good place to sleep and eat breakfast, which is what a hotel’s for. I’ll probably stay again when I’m in Banbury, but I’ll bring my own washcloths.

The staff really looked after us during our two nights here for a friend’s wedding. We were late one morning and had only 10 minutes left before breakfast ended, but they still let us eat, and the chef made fresh sausages and hash browns. They also brought us an iron and ironing board since there wasn’t one in the room. They couldn’t have done more. The room was very clean, with a comfortable bed and an excellent night’s sleep. There are plenty of bars and restaurants close by. We’d happily stay again next time we’re in Banbury.

It’s easy to find, the car park is close, and the room was neat with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was the only letdown. We arrived at 9am and most of the food wasn’t available, with almost all the savoury choices gone. The cooked breakfast took ten minutes to come out. Not ideal when you’re in a hurry, though I suppose I should’ve arrived earlier.
