Apartment Chic

The views from the terrace, living room and main bedroom were beautiful, and the outdoor space had BBQ gear and a log fire with logs supplied. It's a gorgeous place, around a 6-7 minute walk to the Tal y Don in central barmouth, with a slight uphill walk back that we managed fine despite not being very active. We stayed from the 9th to the 11th of August as a family of three with our daughter, and had the best time. Roy and Lynne helped before we arrived with an issue and some changes we needed. We were early, so the apartment wasn't quite ready, but Roy promptly sorted a parking space, showed us around, and let us leave our things while we went out. When we checked in properly, we found thoughtful touches that made it feel like home: fresh bread, milk, tea, coffee, Welsh tea cake, family games and toiletries. Everything was spotlessly clean, the bedding was fresh, the beds very comfortable, and the smart TV had Netflix and more. The bath was a good size too. Roy and Lynne really went the extra mile to make our trip special, and we'd highly recommend it.

The owners were so kind and helpful, always easy to approach and happy to help. We have two disabled children, and both said for the first time ever that they were sad to leave and wanted to come back. That says a lot. The flat was immaculate, and the bay window seating nook was superb, with huge windows all around you. The main bedroom's French balcony was lovely, especially during the UK's hottest days on record, and we could leave it open while sleeping. The kitchen was cleverly planned, with every bit of space used, including room for a microwave and a pull-out work surface. The bathroom was spotless and really well done. The colour-changing lights above the bath even got my children asking for a shower. Highly recommended.

This was our second visit to Apartment Chic, and we absolutely love it. The place is spotless, well located for Barmouth's pubs, takeaways, restaurants, walks and water sports, and has everything you need. The views across Barmouth Bay are superb, and the owners do their best to make sure you're comfortable. Barmouth also makes a great base for the outdoor paradise of The National Park, and it's not too far from the stunning Lleyn Peninsula and Anglesey. You could spend a week here and barely scratch the surface. We hope it will fully open up soon so visitors can enjoy it to the full. We'd highly recommend a stay and hopefully will be back in autumn.

We had the best week away at apartment chic, and I'm already looking forward to going back. The apartment was gorgeous, had a sea view and came fully equipped. Roy greeted us on arrival and helped carry our bags, and both Roy and Lynn were amazing hosts. They even arranged some shopping for us, which was a lovely touch. It's in a beautiful area, about a ten-minute walk from town. Thanks so much for making James' birthday week away special. I'd recommend it 110%.
