The Potting Shed was thoughtfully set up, and the host was so friendly and flexible. We had everything we needed, with refreshments carefully topped up during our stay. We had a lovely time and would recommend it. Thanks for having us! The shower kept switching between hot and cold, and there was no WiFi. You can manage without it, but there’s no phone signal in the area either, so WiFi would have helped us plan trips and find nearby attractions.

The full English breakfast, brought out each morning by the owner, was delicious. The Potting Shed is quiet and cosy, and a good-value base for exploring North Devon, with plenty of local attractions within reasonable reach. It suits anyone after a peaceful break away from the grid while still being close enough to civilisation. Some parts of the property could use updating or refreshing, but overall we were very happy with the location and value.

My sister and I stayed for one night and had everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious, and the place was warm and comfortable. Sandra was helpful when I booked by phone and again when we met. It’s a delightful little spot, and I’d happily come back. Xx

The owner was very helpful, but the place just wasn’t for us. It felt too isolated and wasn’t what we expected, being very close to the owner’s house with only cars to look at. The TV was tiny with hardly any channels, and there was no WiFi, which made the isolation feel worse.

We stayed in June 2019 and had a great time. The accommodation was lovely, with a spacious, comfortable room and quiet surroundings. It was hard to find, though, and there weren’t any restaurants nearby.
