We stayed here for nearby horse riding and it was just right for what we needed. The lodges are really large and spacious, modern, clean, and immaculate, with thoughtful touches like milk left for us. The guests were super friendly.

The main reason we booked was the advertised Wi-Fi, since I needed to keep in touch with work, but there is no Wi-Fi. It might be nice to be off grid for a while, but that wasn’t what we’d planned, so this was a significant issue and the listing was misleading. The lodge is in a lovely remote spot up a rough farm track. It’s small and compact, probably ideal for a couple, though it was a bit tight for us with a dog and child. It was clean apart from a few cobwebs. Some instructions or a welcome pack, plus a guide to the area, would have helped.

The owner was so lovely and easy to talk to, and had everything ready for our arrival. It’s a gorgeous, comfortable little lodge with stunning views from every window. We’ll definitely be back.
