The breakfast had a good range of choices, even for me as a vegetarian, and Steve was helpful and courteous while serving it. The room was comfortable and clean, though it could use a refresh, especially the bathroom. It didn't bother me for the price and the convenience of being close to my destination. This is a lovely, quaint little bed and breakfast, and its charm and service make up for what the room lacks.

Arthur made us feel very comfortable, and the place felt like home to my partner and me. We ended up staying an extra night. There's a beautiful, large lounge and a garden with picnic tables. Breakfast was laid out for you to help yourself whenever you liked: cheese, ham, cereals, toast, tea, coffee and juice. A really special place, and Arthur is a wonderful owner.

The owner and his staff gave us the warmest welcome, and made our stay feel extra special. This classic hotel is beautifully furnished. Our room was well appointed, with a comfortable bed and a large en-suite. Breakfast was luscious, and the bar area was a relaxing place to spend later on. Such a refreshing change from the impersonal places around nowadays. Thank you!

Arthur, the Manager, welcomed us and kindly upgraded our room and included breakfast without us asking. We were put in the modern annex, in a spacious, comfortable, well-appointed room. The breakfast is a self-service cold buffet, with everything you'd reasonably want: cereals, bread and a toaster, croissants, yogurt and fresh fruit. The hotel is on Abbey Road, a leafy, green and pleasant area. It's convenient for either the A590 and the north or the docks and Walney Island, and Furness Abbey's spectacular ruins are only a short drive away. There's a huge private, safe car park, and the wi-fi is amazingly quick and reliable. I can't praise the hotel highly enough.
