It cost £25 a night for the whole two-bedroom terraced house, which was the one positive. Parking was free, with on-street spaces right outside the apartments. Getting into the place was a headache from the start. After booking, I got a confirmation email but no useful access instructions. I only learned from other reviews that the apartment doors used electronic locks, and that the code was meant to arrive by email between 12 and 16:00 on the day. Once I had it, finding my apartment was difficult even in bright sunshine. I can't say I saw any staff on site, and in cold, dark weather it would've been a terrible start. I eventually found Monks Rest 2 and got inside, only to find the bathroom was downstairs despite being advertised as en-suite. It was dark, had no extractor fan, and its window wouldn't open. There was an electric shower on the wall but no shower head or hose, and the curtain was missing. The toilet was unpleasant. The bedside lamp didn't work, there was rubbish under the bunk beds, and the place wasn't very clean, especially the kitchen. The chopping board, cooker and microwave in the photos showed it. I didn't need to use them; luckily there was a chip shop a few doors away and a Chinese takeaway a little further on. I wouldn't stay again.
