The bed was comfortable, and the staff were friendly. It was handy having somewhere to eat right next to the hotel. The rooms haven't changed in years and could use a little updating. I'd also have liked more than one pillow per person and a larger bathroom.

The rooms were clean, but tired and in need of an update. From our first-floor room, it sounded like people in the ground-floor room could come right through the ceiling. The doors also banged noisily through the night.

The room was huge and very clean, and it even had a bath, which I made full use of. The staff were friendly, easy to approach, and happily put up with our crazy antics. We ate at the place next door, where the food was fine and there were plenty of options. I picked this spot for a one-night trip that was part business and part pleasure: it was near where I needed to be on the first day, and the route to my second-day destination was easy and direct. Absolutely nothing to complain about. I'll definitely stay again when I'm in the area.

We had breakfast and dinner at the Beefeater next door, which worked out fine. Our room was good and had everything we needed, and all the staff were friendly and very helpful. We had a lovely stay.
