The restaurant was a real highlight: the food was lovely, and it’s a nice place to eat. There’s also plenty to do in the large bar, with pool, snooker, darts, Space Invaders and toys for kids. The staff did their jobs, though most weren’t especially welcoming; the woman in the restaurant was great, especially with our grandson. Our twin room felt cramped, and it could use some TLC. The shower kept dripping, the taps were very stiff, and the hot water was dangerously hot. The whole hotel feels dated, and the entrance could be awkward for older or disabled guests. The lift is a very claustrophobic Heath Robinson affair.

We had a very satisfying weekend here. The bar is cosy and reasonably priced, and the homemade breakfast and dinner were tasty. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and it was excellent value for money. I’d recommend it.

Getting around was easy, with a tram stop right by the hotel, and the price was at the cheaper end. Breakfast was nice and the service very friendly. The lobby areas have a pleasant vintage feel, but the rooms are quite dated. Our mattresses were worn and uncomfortable, and toiletries were minimal, just a few bars of soap.

We planned to stay one night and ended up staying three. The owners were lovely and friendly, breakfast was wonderful, and both the room and bed were comfortable. We even had a bath. Thanks for a lovely stay, highly recommended.

We had three lovely days here, and we’ll definitely be back. The place was spotless from top to bottom, and the staff were amazing. Mick especially was always happy to help. The decor and rooms have a nostalgic, old-school Blackpool feel, which we loved. Breakfast was fantastic, with a great choice of Full English and continental options. This place showed you don’t have to pay top dollar to stay in Blackpool 🙂
