Ian, the host, really made us feel welcome. The location is great too, about a five-minute walk to London street, which is closed to cars and has great pubs and dining, with even some food trucks along the walk. The museum is there as well, with some interesting local history. The rooms are spacious, nice and comfortable, and breakfast was great, with bacon, sausage, eggs and other items. A really great place to stay in basingstoke. We'll definitely stay at the Fernbank on our next visit.

I stay here regularly and much prefer it to some of the bigger hotels in town. It's clean, tidy, comfortable, quiet and well run. Breakfast is outstanding, with the best bacon I've ever had!

The welcome and service were so warm. It’s a lovely little hotel, with a comfortable, well-kept room and an excellent breakfast. I couldn’t have asked for more.
