The owners gave us such a warm welcome and couldn’t have been more helpful. They’ve thought of everything. The rooms were beautiful and spacious, the accommodation was faultlessly clean, and the bed was very comfortable. I think it may have been the best breakfast I’ve ever had in a guest house.

We loved our stay and only wished we could have stayed longer. Our room was gorgeous, with a huge bathroom and a comfortable king size bed. Breakfast was delicious: I had the veggie option and my husband had the full English. The hosts were fabulous and full of tips for visiting Bath. They even took the time to drive us to the city centre, which they didn’t have to do, since it’s an easy walk from Hawkins of Bath to the centre and all the attractions. We’ll definitely come back.

Can’t find a fault with our stay. Glyn and Diane were wonderful, welcoming hosts and made sure we were comfortable and relaxed. The room and home were clean and immaculately kept, and we enjoyed the selection of films and board games. Breakfast was delicious and made to order, including an excellent signature fruit salad. The city is a short bus ride away, or a straight 30-minute walk down one road. Glyn kindly offered us a lift into town one day and to the station on our last morning. I’ll definitely return the next time I visit Bath and highly recommend staying here. For a better price, I’d suggest contacting them directly to book a room instead of going through a third-party website.

Away from the traffic and noise but still only a short walk, bus, or taxi ride from the town centre, Hawkins of Bath is a special place full of character. This was our third visit, and we’ll keep coming back. The rooms are always immaculate, with high-end furniture and fixtures and comfy mattresses. They come in different sizes, from a mid-sized option for a cosy night to a spacious room with a large bathroom for a longer stay. Glyn and Diane are fantastic hosts, ready to help and happy to suggest places to eat and things to see. They also cook a fantastic breakfast to order. The building is marvelous, with ornate original features and sculpted gardens that should soon be in full bloom. It’s easy to see why its reviews consistently give it five stars.

We really enjoyed our stay. The facilities were excellent, the room was comfortable with a great bed, and breakfast was tasty with plenty of choice, including gluten-free options. Glyn and Diane were fantastic hosts!
