We had dinner here and stayed for drinks. The bar has a friendly feel, and the staff there were both welcoming and efficient. Dinner was excellent, with plenty to choose from and especially good value for Bath. A great spot for a meal.

After a long walk on the Bath skyline, we were ready for lunch at five. The roast Sunday dinner hit the spot, and the service was excellent, with the food arriving quickly. There was a good choice of beers, and the house wine was perfectly pleasant.

The roast was really good, but they’d run out of cauliflower cheese and sticky toffee pudding. We’d booked ahead, so they could have anticipated that. I’d suggest reserving before 3pm, or the restaurant needs to plan its ordering better.

The Griffin has a cosy, comfortable place to sit, and the service has always been excellent when I’ve been in. It’s just beyond the busy centre, but still close enough to walk back into town after a drink or meal. The interior has been redecorated beautifully, with a good range of ales, taps and spirits. I love coming here for a pint or Sunday roast, and highly recommend it.

The Sunday roast was one of the nicer ones I’ve had in Bath, with delicious food and generous portions. The pub’s lovely, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Service was a little slow, though it was very busy, so that was understandable. I’ll be back.
