We had a great night's rest in our Standard room. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the blackout curtains worked well, and the hotel was quiet with no interruptions. The room was just the right size, too. The bathroom was good, although I would have liked the shower to drain faster. Staff checked us in quickly and were friendly. Not having allocated parking was the main drawback, since parking in Bath is a real pain. The Manverse Street Car Park was directly opposite, but completely full when we were looking. If you don't need a car in Bath, I'd take the train and get around on foot. The location worked really well, five minutes' walk from the Abbey, Parade Gardens and Pulteney Bridge, and three minutes from Sotto Sotto, which I think is the best restaurant in Bath. Breakfast was fresh and the coffee was delicious. The continental spread suited us perfectly, so we didn't upgrade to a cooked breakfast. I surprised my fiance with a night away, and we loved both the hotel and our time in Bath.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast was included and good. It's a handy location, a few blocks from the Abbey, Baths, the bus and train station, shops, restaurants and riverside garden. We took a day trip from Bath with MadMax tours to Stonehenge, Avebury and other places. It was enjoyable and informative. Tim, a longtime resident, was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and entertaining as the guide and driver.

Clean, fresh and quirky, and such a beautiful hotel. My partner and I stayed for our anniversary after a night out at Sotto Sotto and then Circo bar downstairs. We had a perfect night.

The room was lovely and the hotel was great. Parking can be tricky in Bath, so having a large car park just across the road was a real plus. Highly recommend.
