Staff were welcoming and very helpful throughout, and breakfast was excellent. The University of Bath summer accommodation is good value for money, with well-furnished rooms that have everything needed for a short stay. The room and bed are on the small side, and I would have found a hair dryer useful. There isn't a daily tidy-up service, but overall I had a good experience.

Being able to park in the university lot as residents was handy, and then we could take the bus into the city. The bus stops are a short walk away on the university grounds, with frequent service and little wait. There's also a small supermarket on site for essentials or a treat. Our ensuite room was cosy and well maintained, and we didn't need to leave it except to go out or have breakfast at the restaurant. The rooms sit within the university grounds, with an ideal level of security. Although the university was mostly empty and the neighbourhood fairly quiet, we still felt comfortable and safe. Breakfast, location, cleanliness and service were all flawless.

The hotel did refund us, which we appreciate, but the stay was exhausting and frustrating. We left early because the toilet wouldn't flush properly and made loud noises through the night for two days. Despite our complaints, it wasn't dealt with promptly, and the lack of sleep affected our rest and my partner's health, as IBS and seizures are brought on by sleep deprivation. The amenities also felt overpriced: the pool was £7.50 per hour and the gym £10 per session. With so little assistance and those costs, the stay was very dissatisfying. I wouldn't stay here again.

The breakfast was spot on, and the eating area was clean and modern. There were croissants, pan u chocolat, Greek yoghurts and others, granola, cereals, toast and jam, tea, juice, cold meats, cheese, and a coffee machine with different options. It was the kind of spread that costs £8+ each in hotels. The staff were super friendly, and the room was clean and modern. For the money, I can't fault this place. We spent 2 nights here. There's free parking, an en suite, and an easy bus ride into Bath city centre. The campus bus runs until 11pm. In July 2023, a single was £2, or £5.60 for a hop-on/off ticket to use around Bath for the day. It's cheaper than taxis, and the university is up a big hill. Why walk it when the bus is £2, or £1.50 if you're a student? Ignore those daft reviews complaining about the hill. Return and day tickets are cheaper when bought in pairs too, like a train duo ticket. It's like an ibis apart from the TV. There's no TV in the room, though there are two in the kitchen and one in a sofa area. Are you really here to watch TV when everyone's got smartphones and it's a cheap getaway? When leaving, I did have to tap my keycard on the door to lock it. Maybe it would have timed out and locked if I waited. There's a deadlock inside. I saw people complain about the bed too. Yes, it's a 3/4 bed, but it's fine for an average person or couple unless you're two very large people. The windows open for a breeze. There was a kettle, tea and coffee, two small bars of soap and towels in the room. It's a great budget option with breakfast included and an excellent location. Don't pass it up if you're on a budget, spend the extra on going out and making memories.

The rooms have what a student needs, but may not suit a couple. The bed is just too small for two. It's usually quiet as long as nobody slams doors at night. There's a kitchen with everything except utensils and cutlery. Without a car, the bus stop is only a few minutes away, and Uber is available too. The first time, it can be tricky to find the entrance to your section, so ask reception.
