We’ve stayed here twice now, and it’s such a good place to eat, drink and sleep. The old character is still there even though it feels fresh, which is a lovely balance. Our room was nicely decorated and the bed was really comfortable. The food’s very good for the price, and breakfast was superb. The staff are attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed. My partner had a broken leg, so we stayed put at The Bull and were perfectly happy there. I was a bit surprised by complaints about noise. It’s a pub, so some noise comes with the atmosphere. We’ll be back. Thanks, guys! 🙏🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The staff were so helpful. I left my jacket at the bar on Friday night, and even though I live miles away, they posted it back to me without charging. I can’t thank them enough. The food and service were first class too. Battle is an amazing town, and I’ll be back x

Sat by the roaring fire at lunchtime with a lovely bottle of Hungarian Sauvignon Blanc and a couple of small plates to share. It was bliss. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I’ll be back.

After a completely exhausting day at work, arriving at the Bull felt like a relief. The welcome was warm straight away, and the locals were great fun. The staff were spot on, and the food was amazing. It’s one of the best places I’ve stayed in a long time.

All of our food was excellent, and even the group of more than ten at the larger table were saying how much they liked their meals. We came in without booking, and Lola immediately explained that she’d just seated a big table, so there’d be a wait. We appreciated the honesty. She kept us comfortable with drinks and games while we waited, and the wait was very reasonable. Highly recommend. We’re already looking forward to coming back. Thanks, Lola!
