The fishing lakes would be a dream for children, and adults can enjoy the challenge too. It’s a beautiful, peaceful place for a break. The roads on the way in were rough and in poor repair, but getting there was worth the effort.

The place is incredibly hard to find, right out in the middle of nowhere. Fishing itself is good, but it isn’t the owners’ main business and they live on site. The wife didn’t seem to care, while the husband was away all week. The swims had got very overgrown, though when he came back he arranged for someone to cut them back. He seemed OK, but she wasn’t sociable at all.

We had a fantastic holiday and loved the place. Even three years later, we still think fondly of our time there. There are lots of beaches nearby, and the owner was friendly and really helpful. Highly recommend!

Honestly, seeing the cat alone makes it worth a visit 😄

Lovely lodges in a secluded, peaceful spot, and there’s a cracking local pub too. Bude is about 30 minutes away. It’s a great place, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.
