A few friends and I meet here for breakfast once a month, and it often turns into beer and lunch as well. The large breakfast is hard to beat at £7.50, and it's generous and consistently well cooked. It's a typical Wetherspoons, with good value and a decent atmosphere. You know what you're getting at a Spoons, so don't expect a Ramsey restaurant or fillet mignon from a Michellin starred chef. A good informal place to get together.

I popped in before a gig and liked it enough to return for breakfast the next morning. The staff were welcoming and great, and the food came out hot and fresh without a long wait.

We slept really well and found the room good value, with a great shower. The check-in staff were friendly and efficient, and overall it was a pleasant one-night stay with my wife last Friday. There was some door banging, though. The pub was packed, so we ate at a lovely basement Italian place nearby, which was amazing. The pub is on a busy road and very popular. Wetherspoons has a car park opposite, which was handy, but it was pricey: overnight parking was listed as £4 and we were charged £11.70. Robbery.

For a meal in the centre of town, this is convenient for shops and local transport, with a good ambience. It was busy but clean, and they found us a table, noted the number, and took our order at the bar. There was a good menu selection at reasonable prices, and the food arrived quickly with a friendly staff member. I didn't stay overnight, so can't comment on the rooms, though based on the restaurant I'd guess they're similar in standard. Definitely recommended for an enjoyable meal.

I stopped in for a quick lunch and got the lite bite Mexican spud. It was a baked potato with V chilli con carne, nachos, avocado, slade on the side, and cheese. You can have a soft drink or an alcoholic one with it. The whole thing was £6.49, or £8 with alcohol, cheaper than McDonalds and healthier. It came to about 736 kcal.
