Breakfast was very good, with plenty of choice and a hot buffet that was good quality for a hotel. The location is handy for the city centre, about a 15-minute walk to Cathedral Quarter. For one night it was satisfactory, though the room rate was still a premium price, in line with other local hotels. The room itself felt more like Travelodge standard than Hilton. The mattress and pillows were cheap, the amenities basic, and sound carried between rooms. At this price, I'd expect better. The shower was especially disappointing: water pooled because it wouldn't drain, the drain was partly blocked with past guests' hair, and there were brown marks on the tray. Other parts of the room were clean. I had to sign up to Hilton Honours to check in 20 minutes early, even though the room was ready and it was nearly 3pm. That was a strange process and not a great welcome.

The hotel worked really well for our group tour. It's centrally located near attractions, transport and restaurants, and the staff handled our group arrivals in a friendly, helpful way. Check-in and check-out were smooth. Our room was clean, modern and well kept, with a comfortable place to unwind after touring. The complimentary breakfast had a good range and was organized well even when busy. There’s also a welcoming lobby, a fitness centre and a 24-hour snack area. A reliable, convenient option for groups or individual travellers in Belfast.

Maryann at reception made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. She was sure to help with anything we asked, and the rest of the staff were helpful too, whether arranging deliveries to the room or offering advice about city attractions. We had a long weekend in Belfast, a great city to visit, and Hampton by Hilton was a perfect choice. It's right in the centre, just a five-minute walk from the bus station. The rooms were lovely, Wi-Fi was free, and the breakfast buffet was amazing.

The room upgrade to a corner room was worth the extra cost. Windows on two sides made it feel much more spacious. I also appreciated the small touches, including the lightly textured, non-slip shower floor and simple controls. In some hotels, working out how to use the shower feels like piloting a spacecraft. A small fridge would have been nice, though that's just a personal preference, not something the room needs. The location is ideal for the city, about five minutes on foot from Grand Central Station and ten minutes from the busy town centre. The atmosphere is friendly and unpretentious, with simple but more than adequate food and drinks served quickly at reasonable prices. The full Irish breakfast set me up well for the day, and there's a well-stocked continental option too. Everyone I dealt with, Lucy, Pablo, Sam, Rachel and Katrina, was personable, down to earth and welcoming. They were a real credit to the hotel, and I noticed they treated others warmly as well. Thanks to the whole team. I look forward to coming back.

The breakfast was exceptional, and we felt like family by the time we left. Staff across reception, room servicing and dining were all welcoming and friendly. The bedroom was lovely, with key-card access for the lift and the stairs. The hotel is right across from Grand Central Station and only a few minutes' walk from the city centre.
