The area around Namaste Lodge was lovely, quiet but close to shops like a butcher and greengrocer, plus restaurants, cafés and pubs. There's a nice park for walks, and the city centre is a 15-minute walk away. There's also a regular bus. I stayed for a few months and even extended my time there. The house is furnished, with a nice kitchen, two bathrooms, and rooms that are spacious and comfortable. I loved the ethnic decor. The land-lady was welcoming and very helpful, and she's an excellent cook with plenty of travel stories. She was lovely company at dinner when I wanted that. She became a dear friend, and I was very sad to leave. Thanks for everything.

The landlady, Paula, is an awesome cook, academic and metropolitan, with great taste in cultural events. Thank you, Paula, for the most pleasant two weeks I've ever spent in Belfast. This was the nicest accommodation I've had on this side of Christmas, and it would make my top five B&Bs. It's handy without being right in the city centre, so you avoid the loud passers-by and squealing traffic. Service 7 buses run every five minutes and get you downtown in five minutes, or it's a 15-minute walk. There are lots of good multicultural restaurants nearby that won't break your wallet, and the city's nicest park is 200 yards away.

The place is well located, with excellent local amenities and easy access to the city centre. The host was lovely, and we could use the lounge and a kitchen stocked with plenty of food and equipment. Just be aware that the bathrooms are shared on the middle floor. If you're on the top floor, getting to a toilet overnight isn't convenient.

There are loads of restaurants, a Tesco, and many off-licences right by the accommodation. Getting into town is easy too: a taxi is £4, the bus is £2, or you can walk in 20-30 minutes, which we didn't mind. Namaste House is very reasonable in price, and the owner was extremely kind and helpful. My boyfriend and I stayed overnight to see friends, and it was just right for us in our early twenties. The rooms, shared bathroom, lounge and kitchen were all fully equipped and extremely clean. We could use the kitchen for breakfast, tea, coffee or dinner. We'd definitely stay again. Just a heads-up, it may not suit anyone with a severe animal allergy, as there are three beautiful dogs in the private residence.

Paula booked us a tour to the Giant causeway, took us to a lovely lunch concert in The Black Box, and gave us lots of helpful information about Belfast and things we could do. The three dogs at Namaste Lodge were sweet and hospitable too. They even let us join Paula for a beach walk. Peppy later shared his slowly disintegrating tennis bal with us, chewing it as he invited us to play. Thanks for all of that, Paula! My friend and I were visiting Belfast for the first time, for a concert and to see the city. Namaste Lodge is in a quiet part of town, with a park, nice restaurants and a great bakery nearby. Paula gets bread there for guests. The city is easy to reach by bus or taxi, and both are affordable. We had a great time and would highly recommend it for a Belfast visit.
