The pie with triple-cooked chips was incredible, easily the best chips I've had while eating out. Everything was cooked just right, and the service was friendly and welcoming. We had such a lovely family meal tonight in a warm, cosy atmosphere. We'll definitely be back soon.

We stumbled across this place and were glad we did. It's old, lovely and really cosy, with a chilled atmosphere and amazing views at the back. We only stopped for drinks this time, but we'll come back to try the food. It's dog friendly and has a good range of beers. 🩷

The beer garden looks out across the valley from the top, and the views are amazing. We had the venison with blueberry sauce and the chicken pie, both hot, delicious and good value. Inside has a cute, traditional old-pub feel, with little nooks, dark wood panelling and open fires. They have decent Thornbridge Brewery beer on tap.

We've stayed a few times and really like this pub hotel. On our last visit, the four of us had two rooms. The staff are very friendly, dinner and breakfast were both fantastic, and it's a perfect base for walking in the area. Looking forward to coming back.

The food was acceptable, but there are much better pub restaurants nearby. The staff came across as rude, untrained and unprofessional, and the place seemed poorly run. We were initially told there was no room for us, then, after we were about to leave, they suddenly found a table. They made us feel stupid for not booking. We asked for the children's food without gravy, but it arrived covered in it. We were also told they didn't have the pie we'd ordered, then saw the next table get one. When I asked about it, a young woman behind the bar shouted at me while serving someone else. I felt intimidated and, once again, made to feel stupid.
