The Cottage, Poplars Farm

The views are beautiful, and ending the day watching the sunset by a fire was a highlight. The pods were spotless and made a great base for exploring The Peaks. We had the best time here.

We liked this friendly, quiet adults-only site so much that we added a third night to our motorhome stay. The views across the valley are fantastic, and it's a relaxing spot, with Hulland Ward, its pub and a few shops not far away. There's also a lovely 90-minute walk through the countryside to Carsington Reservoir. The booking was simple, and the owners called or messaged the day before with our pitch number. Each pitch has pay-as-you-go EHU. Toilets, shower and washing-up area were very clean, and the grey water, black water and fresh water facilities were easy to reach. Thanks for a memorable stay.

The only thing that disturbed the peace was the nearby fast road. You couldn't really see the cars from our pitch, so the landscape still looked lovely, but the traffic could be quite loud. Otherwise, this was a beautiful little hideaway, with medium-sized pitches and a large dog field. The owner was lovely, and her two beautiful dogs enjoy running around outside. The toilets were clean and well kept. Thanks for having us, we'd visit again.

A great first go at glamping, and I'd happily recommend the site. We stopped for one night in pod Ash on the way home. The owner greeted us, showed us around and explained how things worked. The pod was clean and had all the essentials, with its own shower and toilet in the pod toilet block. It's a small, quiet place with walks nearby and a nice pub 15-20 minutes away on foot. We really appreciated being allowed to leave our car and small caravan on site while we stayed in the pod. We didn't want to unload everything and put the feet down for just one short night. Thanks again, we enjoyed it!
