The hut is gorgeous, and the hosts have been so thoughtful during both of the last two years we’ve stayed. We loved the fire pit and hot tub.

The hut was cosy, and the bed was really comfortable. They’ve thought of lots of small things that make a weekend stay easy, from plenty of glasses and cooking utensils to towels, toiletries and extra blankets for colder weather. The wood-fired hot tub took a few hours to warm up, but then we stayed in for ages, and we lit the fire pit too. Such a cosy evening. There are sheep and birds right outside, and the surrounding area is lovely. We visited Glansevern Hall and enjoyed the gardens, and the cafe there was nice. The Nags Head Inn nearby is worth a visit too. A really comfortable, relaxing getaway.

We spent a lot of time outside, sitting at the table and listening to the birds. The fields around the hut are beautiful, and the river Severn is only a short walk away. The wood-fired hot tub was easy to get going, and after 2 to 3 hours the water was warm. We watched the sun go down from it as geese and ducks flew overhead. Inside, the compact space has been fitted out thoughtfully. There was more than enough cookware, crockery, cleaning gear and bins, so we only needed to bring food and drink. The bathroom has a toilet and a decent shower, with towels and toiletries provided. The double bed folds down easily and is comfortable. Underneath it is a table for meals, and there’s a little TV if you want to watch something in bed. There’s also underfloor heating and a small fireplace that would be cosy in winter. Outside, there’s a barbecue and fire pit as another option for cooking. We had everything we needed for our two nights, and it was a lovely place to unwind.
