The cottage is in a great spot, close to a lovely beach and promenade, and it has excellent facilities.

We found the apartment quiet and really comfortable, with everything working and well maintained. The service and communication were excellent. It's 50m from the sea, with lovely promenade walks and history placards all around explaining what used to be there. Parking was easy, and some large shops for supplies are just a five minute drive away.

The owners were friendly and very helpful, and the accommodation was clean and well equipped. It's a great little bolt hole, just a minute from the beach, which our dog loved. I can't think of anything negative to say.

We stayed in late September and found the place well appointed, with everything needed for a visit. It's close to Spittal beach, and the walk into Berwick via Tweedmouth takes about 20 minutes. A good base for exploring the Borders or heading to Edinburgh. Can't fault it.

We walked the nature trail from Berwick-upon-Tweed, finishing at the far end of the promenade, and stopped for lunch in Berwick-upon-Tweed. The place itself was fabulous, only a two minute walk from the beach.
