The man behind the bar was lovely, and the prices were more than fair. We stopped in for a few drinks on a midweek evening. It’s a lovely pub, and the patio and garden looked great, even though the rain kept us from enjoying them. I’d definitely return if I’m in the area.

We had a really nice evening at The Craw Inn. The food was freshly cooked and delicious, and didn’t take long to arrive. We shared the trio of bonbons to start, then had lamb shank with mash and veg, and steak and ale pie with chips and veg. We also had onion rings with the meal. The hosts were warm and attentive without making us feel rushed or that anything was a bother. It’s dog friendly too, which was a bonus. We stayed in the pods at Sunnybank, just a two-minute walk away, and the village is gorgeous. We felt welcome as soon as we walked in. Definitely worth a visit if you’re nearby.

The food was well above what I usually expect from pub cooking, with generous portions and really good value. We had prawn cocktail and spicy parsnip soup, then steak pie and scampi, followed by sticky toffee pudding. The village pub itself is thoughtfully laid out, with a good bar and lounge, fresh decor and a log burner that keeps it cosy. It’s one of those increasingly rare places where TVs and loud music don’t take over, but it doesn’t feel old fashioned either. Just a welcoming, unpretentious place for good beer, and the food compared very well with nearby town pubs on both quality and price. Genuinely lovely to spend time in. Give it a visit.

My friend and I had a lovely night at The Craw Inn. The room was great, dinner was delicious, and breakfast was to die for. The pub felt cosy and lively, and the hosts made us feel welcome. You could see the locals were enjoying their hospitality too. It’s an absolutely lovely country inn and pub. We’ll definitely be back. Keep up the great work.

My wife is vegetarian, and the staff were happy to suggest some good options that weren’t listed on the menu. She had a tasty vegetarian lasagne. I had roast beef followed by blackberry and apple crumble for lunch, and both the food and service were great. Would highly recommend.
