Up North Stays

Vicki gave us a warm welcome and a welcome pack, and Millers Cottage was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. It was a lovely retreat during our couple of days in the area, as well as a good base for getting to Berwick, Lindisfarne Castle and the surrounding places. We loved the peaceful surroundings, with room for our two boys to run about and quiet spots to sit and watch the sunsets. It's a great place to explore Northumberland from, and we highly recommend it. After four fantastic nights at Millers Cottage, we're just home. Vicki welcomed us so warmly, and the cottage had a lovely basket of local produce, a basket of logs and everything we could need for a cosy, relaxing stay. Thanks so much, Vicki! :) x

We were very happy to visit The Granary again. It was spacious, comfortable and well equipped, just right for two. For us, the location was great, in a lovely open rural landscape where we could enjoy the 'dark skies', with the coast only a few minutes' drive away. The owner communicated very well and provided an online guide to the property and the surrounding area.

The dark sky setting gave us the chance to see bright stars, which was superb. The farm feels wonderfully peaceful, yet Berwick and other seaside spots are only 25 minutes away. The cottage has been beautifully renovated and is extremely well hosted, and the website photos represent it well. We used what three words to navigate to the farm, and it worked perfectly.
