Joseph the bus had everything my son and I needed for a few days away, and it was really cosy. The animals made the stay extra fun. They were entertaining, and we even got cuddles from a donkey. We both had a great time and would definitely recommend it.
We loved our holiday in Joseph, the colourful dream coach. The hosts were warm and friendly, and clearly go the extra mile for guests. The setting is clean and surrounded by lovely countryside, with donkeys, alpacas and a pony nearby. With so little light pollution, the starry skies were beautiful. Hartland village is close, with three pubs, a fish and chip shop, post office and general store. Bideford, Bude, Barnstaple and Clovelly are an easy drive, and Summerleaze and Instow beaches are within 30 minutes. There are lots of local places to visit, and our dogs enjoyed the holiday too.
We had a lovely evening in the hot tub, which was well looked after, and the whole stay felt welcoming from the start. John and Iris looked after us so warmly at Fosfelle. We stayed in Joseph and it surpassed what we expected. The bed was cosy with a warm duvet, and the kitchenette was just right for making meals. The donkeys were so friendly and curious, even around our dog, and having them nearby was a fun treat. Hartland is about a 10-15 minute walk away; each of the pubs there had its own charm and good points, and everyone we met was friendly. We got lucky with the weather and didn't need the log burner. We'd absolutely come back for the comfort and hospitality.
The views were lovely, and the alpacas and donkeys were friendly. Our hosts were great, and the spotless shower and toilets were a real plus. The hot tub made the stay feel luxurious, and we plan to return. We only held back the fifth star because one of the managers gave our booked pitch to someone who hadn't booked. We had to put our caravan at the top of the hill instead. The ground there was a bit uneven, but since it wasn't windy, it wasn't a big problem.
The coach itself had excellent facilities, and we were surprised by how warm it stayed at night. There was a log burner in the lounge and an electric heater in the bedroom. We spent five fantastic days in the converted coach, enjoyed the donkeys and alpacas coming over to say hello, and found the owners friendly and easy to contact. It was a wonderful stay and we didn't want to leave. We'll definitely return.
